Multicultural Background The Predicament And Construction Of College Moral Education Mode

With the rapid development of economic globalization and the deepening degree of human interaction, different cultures shock and collide with each other. The coexistence of cultural diversity shows a cultural diversification spectacle. It's unquestionable that a multicultural society has formed in China. Thus, the reform of model of moral education in college becomes the focus of academia and education in China.The thesis expounds the moral education in college in three ways. First, I roundly explain the definition and characteristics of cultural diversification. And also point out that cultural diversification is actually formed through the way of seeking common ground while reserving differences. The reasons for the formation of cultural diversification in China are also discussed. Secondly, I explore the specific conditions of cultural diversification in colleges of China: the conflicts between traditional Chinese culture and modern Chinese culture as well as the conflicts between Chinese culture and foreign culture. Besides, the conflicts between mainstream culture and subculture are also discussed. Such conflicts may result in the conflicts of values of college students. Under the influence of cultural diversification, the current model of college moral education in China is not suitable. Lastly, the thesis puts forward the specific measures for the establishment of a new model of college moral education in China. Those measures include innovation of the definition of college moral education in China through the analysis of internal factors of current model of college moral education in China, establishment of new goal system content system,method system and environmental system of college moral education in China in the background of cultural diversification. Only through the measures above, can we build a completely new model of college moral education suitable for cultural diversification in China. What's more, this completely new model of college moral education will enable colleges in China to fulfill their roles of teaching and training talents.
