Through a theoretical discussion and empirical analysis of PE teachers'satisfaction, the author attempts to build a structural model corresponding to the primary and middle school PE teachers'job satisfaction in Sichuan province. Questionnaire research is made on 500 primary and middle school PE teachers. The interrelationship of factors affecting these teachers'satisfaction is analyzed in ways of project analysis, exploratory factor analysis and structural model. The study consists of three parts. The first is to decide the dimension and presumptive model of the questionnaire. Based on the existing literature review of PE teachers'job satisfaction and an interview with 18 primary and middle school PE teachers, 50 key event indexes are picked out by the experts. It is decided that the dimension of this questionnaire is 7, and the presumptive model is 7 factors of one phase and 1 factor of two phases. The second is to make an exploration on all the factors affecting the PE teachers'job satisfaction in Sichuan province, and revise the presumptive model. By SPSS16.0, project analysis, exploratory factor analysis and reliability analysis are used to analyze the 213 valid data. And finally it turns out that the job satisfaction degree of primary and middle school PE teachers in Sichuan province is 5, and it also makes a revise on the presumptive mode, that is, it becomes 5 factors of one phase and 1 factor of two phases. The third is to make verification of the revised model. After the reliability research, validity research and verifiability factor research on the 213 valid questionnaires, it is finally decided that the structural model of the job satisfaction of primary and middle school PE teachers in Sichuan province is the model of five factors of one phase and two factors of two phases.The main conclusions are as follows:1. The scale of the job satisfaction of primary and middle school PE teachers in Sichuan province is composed of 5 dimensions and 18 items. They are the leader management and development support, salary, social support and student factor. The reliability coefficient of each dimension is 0.71---0.78 and the total coefficient is 0.82. Each of these items is above 0.4, which shows that this scale has a comparatively good reliability and validity.2. The job satisfaction of primary and middle school PE teachers in Sichuan province is the model of five factors of one phase and two factors of two phases. The two factors of this model are vocational development, including leader management and development support, and vocational basis, including salary, social support and student factor.3. Through the research, it is found that salary contributes a lot to the job satisfaction of primary and middle school PE teachers in Sichuan province, which shows that the salary is the concern of these teachers. The salary of PE teachers is closely related to factors such as school's fund investment in PE and the reward distribution.4. Development support is an important part of this structural model of the job satisfaction of primary and middle school PE teachers in Sichuan province.
