The Plight Of The Professional Teachers Of Secondary School Mental Health Education And Countermeasures

The significance and urgency of psychological health education was pointed out as early as 1999 in Some Suggestions on Enhancing the Psychological Health Education of Primary and Middle School Students issued by Ministry of Education. Developing the students'good psychological quality and cultivating their normal and healthy personality is an important link to cultivate trans-century high-quality talents.That is to say, with the coming of new century, the school psychological health education in our country has entered spring in the end.As we all know, the development of education depend on the teachers'teaching level and quality. The development of school psychological education depend on the teaching level and development of the teachers who take up psychological health education.After ten years'exploration and practice, we have accumulated a certain experience and approaches in psychological health education of primary and middle school students. At the moment the key to restricting the further development of psychological health education is the construction and the development of the professional teaching staff. So concerning and enhancing the professional development of psychological health teachers has become the urgent problem that we should settle at the moment in the psychological health education.Because of the influence of traditional education and education system, a lot of problems arose in the process of psychological health education in middle school. Such as, if it is necessary to set up psychological health course; how to make the assessment of psychological health education, and so on. All these are the problems to be studied and settled. Because psychological health education can not take effect immediately, the few psychological health courses are often occupied by major subjects in many schools. Moreover, psychological health course isn't opened in some schools. They put the heavy burden of psychological health education on face-to-face psychological consulting which is very narrow. And they tend to focus on psychological barrier consulting and seldom involve developmental and educational psychological counseling and consultation. It is certain to affect the validity and direction of psychological health education.To concern psychological health education is to concern the professional development of professional psychological health education teachers. As a professional teacher who has taken up middle school psychological health education for nearly ten years, I am faced with the same embarrassment talked above. So through the research, I analyzed the difficult situation that professional middle school psychological health education teachers facing in their work and take an active part in exploring some measures to help these teachers to get out of the difficult situation. I want to find a chance in my career development and offer help and reference to the professional development of professional middle school psychological health education teachers as well.
