Information Technology course is a practical, creativity course. In the seventh Global Chinese Conference on Computers in Education hosted by the Department of Educational Technology of Nanjing Normal University, somebody made a simple statistics about the teaching cases collected by the Conference. Among the 73 Information Technology teaching cases, the number of cases that using task-based method is as much as much as 38 (including 11 high schools,10 junior high school, 17 primary schools), representing 52% of the total. So why are so many teachers fond of the task-based teaching method? How about the task-based method in high school's Information Technology?This study tries hard to find the task-based method in high school's Information Technology application, and hope to give the peers some suggestions. First, starting from the theory, the paper fully explains the teaching philosophy from the task types and the understanding of task-driven, then analyzes the two types of tasks carried out in the teaching process. Second, by using the content analysis, from the classification of knowledge of textbooks, textbooks materials analysis, student analysis, task-based analysis of the teaching process, teaching evaluation, teaching reflection,it analyzes the information technology task-based teaching cases in high school to know the task-based teaching in high school Information Technology. Finally, by questionnaire this paper investigates the participants in 2008 to the 2010 National Information Technology Case Competition and some other high school Information Technology teachers, then finds out the task-based practical problems encountered in teaching process through in-depth analysis and proposes some solutions.In this paper,we use the bottom-up research methods,literature analysis and survey methods. This would be a combination of teaching practice more closely and reflect the situation of the teaching actually. And directly related to front-line instructor in the process of research we can get first-hand data and information,those makes the research high practical, high reliability.
