With the rapid development of information technology, the requirementsfor talented persons are higher and higher in modern society.Theimplementation of the new curriculum reform is cultivating more talentsto adapt to the needs of information society. It is required that schoolingshould cultivate students’ cooperative inquiry ability as well as teachstudents learning methods. High school information technology is apractical course that combines a set of knowledge with skills. As is knownto us all, technology updates very quickly. Besides, the development ofthe times requires students not only learn the theoretical knowledge, butalso master the practical skills. Thus, traditional teaching models havebeen unable to meet information technology classroom teaching requirementsmade by the new curriculum reform. The task driving teaching method breaksthe traditional teaching method, which emphasizes gradual study and theaccumulation of knowledge, to complete a task as a drive to stimulatestudents interest in learning.The task driving teaching method has been applied in the teaching ofhigh school information technology, the effects of which have beenevaluated by constant practice, reflection and improvement. During theresearch, many a method, including teaching experiment and questionnaire,is adopted. As the effects present, it is obvious that the informationtechnology level of the subject has improved a lot after a school year,with the task driving teaching method carried out. Another conclusion canbe drawn that there was little gap between the subject and the contrastclass in terms of information technology level before the experiment, butnow the gap between them is of significance.Through the author’s practice in the teaching of high schoolinformation technology, it has been proved that the task driving teachingmethod is a valuable method, which can combine students’ learningactivities with authentic tasks, arouse students’ interest in the courseof information technology, give full play to students’ dominant position,cultivate students’ ability to obtain information, collect informationand integrate information, contribute to students’ practical ability, exploratory ability and self-taught ability and provide a broaderspace for the development of students’ comprehensive ability.
