A Study Of Rural Christianity In Guanzhong

Through literature study, field research and survey research, we package the development process of Christian in Shaanxi and Guanzhong, understand the present development situation of Christianity. We also analysis the reasons of the Christian restitutes since 1978 in China. At last, we proclaim the social function of Christianity.Chapter1 is the introduction, mainly introduced the research background, objective ,significance concept definition, research methods and innovative points, etc.Chapter 2 is the Christian development history in Guanzhong region. First, we introduce the historical process of Christianity in China. Second, we summarize the development course of Catholic and Protestant in shaanxi especially guanzhong region. The third part is about guanzhong's geography, climate, history , economy and culture .Chapter 3 is Guanzhong rural Christian development present situation. From the believers condition, organization structure, religious life and dissemination way, we describe the development status and the different between Catholic and Protestant in Guanzhong,Chapter 4 is about the reason of the Christian recovery in Guanzhong. The renaissance of Christianity in Guanzhong is both historical tradition reasons, and closely related with the rural social reality, including economic, society and culture.Chapter 5 is the Christian social function. This article discusses the functions of Christianity from individuals, families, and communities. For individuals, Christianity has psychological adaptation, moral enlightenment, culture education and other functions. For family, Christianity has some adjustment effect to family relationships; For the community, Christianity has some important effects in public affairs social integration and community culture.Chapter 6 is summary. This part concludes the basic viewpoints and brings forwards insufficiencies for further study.
