The Contemporary post-graduates are the important groups,post-graduates with the fast living pace in modern society and the increasingly competition which brings not only vitality but also crisis and pressure. the intellectual post-graduates bear more and more psychological pressure.thus, it brings psychological illness. Therefore, it is important to understand post-graduates'condition of psychological pressure and find some methods to alleviate post-graduates'psychological pressure, however, a great deal of researchs and sport practice shows that physical exercise can not only strengthen their bodies, but also have an active affect on people's psychological health, at present, physical exercise affect psychological health has still become the significant research topic in the fields of international sports psychology and training psychology, but domestic research on the relations between physical exercise and psychological pressure is lacking in thorough and deeply analysis, this research chooses post-graduates in Urumqi as the respondents, based on investigating in post-graduates'condition of taking physical exercise and their pressure, this research provides a reference for improving post-graduates'quality of psychological health of higher schools in Xinjiang. After investigating and analyzing, the results of the research show as follows:(1)the crowd who take exercise>the crowd who often take exercise> the crowd who never take exercise, among them, the condition of male post-graduates'taking exercise is better than female post-graduates', the frequency of taking exercise every week and the time thy spend in taking exercise very time are also better than female post-graduates'. Most post-graduates'aims in taking exercise are strengthen body, alleviate pressure, amusement and shape figure, the main form of exercise is together with classmates, and moreover, they often take exercise on playground or vacant places inside the universities in the evening. Ball games in the items is what post-graduates prefer, and after exercise, most post-graduate can enjoy the pleasure and passion from exercise.(2)At present, there are about 1/3 of post-graduate bear heavier psychological pressure, in the degree of psychological pressure, the crowd who never take exercise>the crowd who take exercise>the crowd who often take exercise; arts>science; junior of post-graduates>first year of post-graduates>sophomore of post-graduates;self-funded post-graduates >government-funded post-graduates>job-directed post-graduates;married post-graduates>unmarried post-graduates;and moreover, females'degree of psychological pressure is obvious higher than males'. Post-graduates'two major pressure derives from study pressure and employment pressure, and psychological pressure is the heaviest one.(3)Approximate to 80% of post-graduates think taking exercise can alleviate psychological pressure, the aims in taking exercise are strengthen body, amusement and alleviate pressure, the exercising items are running and walking, the form of exercise is together with classmates, the time sprnt in exercise is 31-60 minutes, the frequency of exercise is 3-4 times every week, the strength of exercise is the minimum strength and the medium strength, above all can alleviate post-graduates'psychological pressure best.
