After another new round of expansion and resource integration among higher vocational-technical colleges, these colleges are confronted with unknown circumstances and problems. Hence, it's one crucial topic during their development process that how to utilize motivation mechanism to promote human resources management system reform, how to mine education human resources adequately -potential of teachers, and make higher vocational-technical colleges progress healthily, rapidly and continuously.Based on human resources management theoy and motivation theory, the article elaborates content motivation theory,procedural incentive theory and behavior modification theory. It also analyzes the difference between the tradition personnel management and human resources management and emphasizes the function of motivation mechanism in higher vocational and technical college human resources management. This article also carries out the systematic analysis and research on the current situation of human resources management and motivation mechanism in higher vocational and technical colleges from the standpoint of the management and psychology, focusing on analyzing the flaws existing in the motivation mechanism. From different characters between higher vocational and technical colleges and universities, the article conducts contrastive analysis between human resources management and the incentive mechanism. Let's take Liaoning Petrochemical Vocational Technology College for example. Through the questionnaire survey of satisfaction degree of teachers'work, basically analyzing questionnaire result with the weighted average method and further analysis to questionnaire result based on orderly logistic regression analysis. And the writer obtains reasonable and correct model of the factors which influence the satisfaction degree toward teachers'work.The research indicates that the reasonable and effective motivation mechanism can promote students to develop individual potential greatly. Therefore, gaining a clear idea of motivating factors existing in higher vocational and technical college teachers' job satisfaction has great significance to motivate teachers'working enthusiasm and creativity. Based on the analysis of former questionnaire results, the writer proposes suggestions for motivation mechanism of human resources management in higher vocational and technical colleges: implementing management idea-"student-oriented"; formulating scientific and reasonable performance appraisal system; constructing motivational compensation mode; paying great attention to spiritual motivation measures.
