Interpretation Of The Youth Sub-Culture Character Of The Original Network Video

As a new artistic form of a new media age, original network videos create a new kind ofculture. It requires low threshold technical skill, advocates spirit of sharing, freedom and equality.Based on the statistical analysis and text analysis of325original network videos of Youku, thisstudy found out that, as a carrier of youth sub-culture, the content of the original network videosis diverse and full of tension: First, part of the youth sub-culture is keeping distance with thebusiness culture and the dominant ideology, focusing on ritual resistance and self-expression,and characteristic of youth sub-culture is very distinct; second, part of the youth sub-culturepositively moves closer to the business culture and the dominant ideology, which is eventuallyincorporated. By the influence of the business culture, dominant ideology and the cyberculture,these two kinds of youth culture can mutually transform. In a word, the youth sub-culture whichthe original network videos represent will keep a balance between maintaining its owncharacteristics and becoming incorporated, and continue to develop. Because of the particularityof the network, the original network videos which has a unique personality will continue to exist,and develop in the concept of avoiding political risk and acquiring economic benefits.
