Transformation of backward students is a long-existing problem to the education process. Because of the special status of rural schools, the special age of students of rural schools and other reasons, that problem becomes relatively more complex. Normal students in rural areas will mostly teach in junior and primary schools, and their professionalism and theory abilities will directly influence the effect of the development of quality education in junior and primary schools in rural areas. Therefore, it is a key factor to promote the quality education in our country that we do good transformation of backward students. But the transformation of rural normal underachievers is crucial to the promotion of the quality education, the teaching quality in the rural areas and the development of modern education, and even very important to each family's happiness. Therefore, there is an urgent need of the transformation of normal underachievers.Appreciation education is a good education approach, which requires respect for the students'personality, recognition of differences and respect for differences. Appreciation education can maintain students'self-esteem, make them get a sense of self-worth and self-confidence and can also make students'behavior positive and finally lead to success. Through exploring the theory of appreciation education, we can instruct the transformation of backward students, cause the whole society'attention to the backward normal students in rural areas and arouse all educators'attaching importance to the backward students.Through the analysis of literature, this study gave a definition of basic concept. With the combination of the research methods of questionnaires, interviews and observation, this study tried to make an analysis of the production of backwards students from different directions, specifically from the direction of pedagogy, psychology, culture, sociology. Finally, some specific practical strategies are summarized on the basis of the reasons for backwards students and the appreciative education, and all these work are done in accordance to factors in three aspects: school education factors, including simplistic method, bad education environment and boring education method; psychology factors, including backward students'rebellious, inferiority and thoughts of abhorring study; social and environmental factors, including influence on backward students from both traditional and modern culture, some bad social morals and harmful elements.
