Motivation is one of the most significant factors that affect the learners'learning activities and to learn with success. The foreign studies on motivation mainly focus on the learners in L2 environment at a variety of ages. In recent years, along with research in elementary education in China, researches in motivation are paid more attention to by the researchers and many teachers. Whereas many researches focus on the students in Senior Middle Schools, the students in Junior Middles Schools were always either short of deserved attention of scholars or excluded from researchers'academic scope. As one of the language group of FL learners in China, giving priority to the influence and interaction of motivation in the learning process, especially arousing the motivation of third-year middle school students can improve the learners'efficiency and quality in English learning. At the same time it can help them strengthen basic knowledge,build up ability,make less and reduce gap. It can also help them move from middle school to high school.This study took 70 third-year junior middle school students as the research subjects, and analyzed the relationship of their learning motivation ad learning proficiency. The research result indicated that in high learner among the different kinds of learning motivations, the frequency of motivation such as "the hope of parents and teachers, the pressure of test, expect to investigate the ideal high school" is high; the frequency of integrate motivation such as " I am interested in English learning, I am excited in English learning" is relatively low. And in low learners, poor motivation,mis-attribution and lack of correct acquaintance affect their academic achievement.According to the data analysis, the writer carried out the instruction of learning strategies,used incentive theories to help the learners overcome the difficulties in English learning, help them improve self-confidence and positivity, help them attribute correctly,go in for the sense of achievement, and then enhance the motivation reasonably to form the appropriate motivation. Because the appropriate motivation can help the learners demonstrate the best operating efficiency.
