In view of the persistent common problem of traditional pedagogy's neglect of students self-access capacities, the new teaching method advocates a transformation of teaching and learning methods, in which teachers are leaders and organizers who actively lead students to have self access and cooperative learning. The model of Learning-Plan-Teaching conforms to the trend of times, changes the role of teachers in the process of teaching and learning. In this process, teachers are required to attach more importance to students'way of learning rather than teachers'way of teaching in line with the student oriented principle. Emphasis on students'initiative by means of the design and application of Learning-Plan helps offering the fertile soil and space for students' sustainable development.This thesis is a study on the application of the model of Learning-Plan-Teaching in biology class room teaching in No.3 high school in Huang pi district, Wuhan by means of action research methods. The purpose of this study is to identify the advantages of the model of Learning-Plan-Teaching in biology class room teaching so as to lay the theoretic foundation for the further development of biology teaching. It takes into consideration of the special features of biology and concrete needs of senior school students, makes use of vivid and lively case studies and Learning-Plan-Teaching for the purpose of enhancing students'learning capabilities. This study takes this model from the perspective of the relationship between teacher and student. The application of the model of Learning-Plan-Teaching involves the bilateral and multilateral activities between teacher and students. Generally speaking, the procedure goes as follows:The teacher gives students the Learning Plan as handout, in the process of teaching and learning, both teaching plan and learning plan are used. As the learning plan lists such items as learning objectives, main points, questions, tips for learning, learning clues, further studies, it serves as a pusher promoting students improve their learning specifically.Changes have taken place in the teaching of teachers, whose role is no longer a full class feeder but an initiator, with the help of learning plan, they are able to exercise their creativity by leading the students to learn before teaching so that they can suit the instruction to the student's level. As for the students, with the help of learning plan, they are able to learn the study methods, cooperation by self access, self research and self discovery. As a result, their learning habit changes for the better.However, the model of Learning-Plan-Teaching in high school biology class room teaching is not good for each class, for instance, some key concepts and principles can not be acquired by students' self learning or team work. Therefore, with the students' cognitive features, teaching contents, and present teaching conditions in mind, teachers are encouraged to make use of the advantages of a variety of teaching and learning models and technology to maximize the potential of learning plan guided teaching.
