Ideological And Political Education Functions Of University TV Media

Mass media is one of the important and main method to promote ideological and political education. University TV media, as a branch of mass media, its rapid, direct, active and real way in transferring information is playing a more and more important role to ideology concept, behaviour pattern, cultural life and psychological condition of undergraduates. Simultaneously, basing on the unconscious education effects, university TV media is influencing ideological and political education work. It is not only an important aspect of ideological and political education work to realize sufficiently and research in-depth of main functions that TV media plays in ideological education work,as well as emphasis, utilize, lead and control TV media, but also a new issue that ideological and political education is facing.The thesis combined the actual condition of university ideological and political education on the basis of mass media research. It exploded in-depth about campus TV media, the special media carrier, be utilized to make ideological and political education work better. The thesis introduced the meaning and characteristic of campus TV media and the four ideological and political education functions which are transferring information, optimizing environment, developing innovation and coordinating domination. It analysed the recent function situation which the university TV media has in ideological and political education and found out the limited problems and reasons that in university campus TV media playing the ideological and political education role. Meanwhile, the thesis put forward the measures as followed:establish university TV media scientific management system; promote university TV media professional attitude; intensify the combination of column content and ideological and political education work; build university TV media various propagating methods. By these ways, the ideological and political education function of university TV media can be improved and the prospect of university ideological and political education can be developed.
