The inquiry teaching is a kind of teaching method advocated by new curriculum reform. According to the basic principle of chemistry course standard in compulsory education, inquiry teaching is a teaching mode that chemistry teachers have to place much attention on. Its implementation links with the quality of the new chemistry course reform, and at the same time influences the effectiveness of chemistry teaching at classroom and directly affect cultivating students'scientific accomplishment. Henan province has started the experiment on new course of compulsory education from 2001. Till 2005, the starting grade of compulsory education period have all implemented the new course and till 2008, junior high school graduates have all been taught of the new course. During this period, the inquiry teaching has been promoted and carried out to certain degree and some effectiveness has been derived from this. However, due to different levels of attention from different regions and schools, there are also some shortcomings existing. For chemistry teaching in junior high school, the implementation process of inquiry teaching has every relevance with quality of chemistry course reform in compulsory education in our province. Therefore, conducting research and analysis on implementation status of inquiry teaching on junior high school chemistry course reform is an important issue of both theoretical and practical significance.The main researching methods used during research are literature and survey, supplemented with comparative method and class tracking record. Research subjects mainly include managers, teachers and students of some secondary schools in Henan Province. Research content contains below 3 aspects:1, Exploring content of relevant concept about inquiry teaching, requirements on inquiry teaching of chemistry in secondary school from new course, principles to be followed by implementation of inquiry teaching on secondary school chemistry curriculum.2, Analysis of implementation status of inquiry teaching on secondary chemistry curriculum so as to provide factual basis on how to effectively carry out inquiry teaching. This research is about 3 aspects: First, the situation of junior high school chemistry teachers implementing inquiry teaching. Second, how students react to this teaching method. Third, how school management board value this teaching reform and their understanding of this teaching method. 3, Exploring problems based on analysis of current situation and coming up with relevant teaching suggestion and countermeasures. |
