With the rapid development Internet technology and media technology , information technology began to be widely used in education environment,which had a fantastical impact on the traditional instructional design modes and teaching methods.Big6 Skills is a systematic teaching method in Thematic Exploration.However, while trying to apply Big6 Skills in teaching, the auther finds that elementary students are in lack of the ability to retrieve information, and hence have problems using the six skills to gather topic-based information.The purpose of this study is to apply Big6 skills in teaching with SAKAI Platform. It then investigates the implementation of Big6 skills and students'learning achievement.Through the way of literature study, this paper interprets and summarizes Big6 skills assessing ways and teaching.Induces the procedure of teaching.The author has studied on the application of Big6 skills in teaching and students'achievement through observation, and documents and records review in an action research.Finally, after reflections and discussions, amendments and suggestions for teaching are concluded.Sakai as an open-source software platform on campus network, and modulates to aim at university environment .In accordance with the Big6 mode should be designed and constructed The Basis of Computer Culture.We will come up with suggestions and advice on the basis of an experiment—using the Sakai software, the subjects, two classes of students of grade 09, attend the class of The Basis of Computer Culture followed by questionnaires and interviews so as to analysis the results.The experiment suggests that Sakai software is easy for effective learning.SAKAI carried out the integration of information technology with curriculum provides perfect virtual environment for teachers.The outstanding points of this paper lie in the new model of teaching based. Choose to Sakai environment of campus daily teaching,curriculum design and development of system with the Big6 mode.Teachers can help students work more effectively and accurately by peer-observation (group to group), providing relative information and formats, interchanging qualitative and quantified evaluations, and finally examining, discussing and revising students'work.
