In the new curriculum, the goal of teaching classical Chinese is to develop students'ability to inherit the Chinese traditional culture and improve students'language literacy. But the current status of teaching and learning classical Chinese is not as ideal as expected and the goal has a long way to go. Classical Chinese classes are still dominated by traditional teaching methods such cramming method of teaching and translating word by word or sentence by sentence, which just focus on the understanding and interpretation of words and sentences and ignore the feelings of emotional sentiment of the text to a certain extent, let alone the edifying of culture. Students'thinking can not be motivated and developed without exploration and research of teaching as well as the interaction between teachers and students. The researching object of this thesis is the current classical Chinese teaching method of senior high school. The thesis is aimed at discussing the problems with the current classical Chinese teaching method and presenting my own opinions on improving classical Chinese teaching standards in the new curriculum reform.The thesis is divided into three parts:First, by investigating and analyzing the current status of classical Chinese teaching in senior high school I'm trying to draw the drawbacks of the singularity of teaching methods and by interpreting of the new curriculum standards and analyzing of the value of classical Chinese teaching, I'm presenting the significance of classical Chinese teaching and the meaning of the research. Second, in the new curriculum, the majority of Chinese teachers should use as many as teaching methods as possible to stimulate students interest in classical Chinese and stress the significance of classical Chinese teaching. Combining the traditional Classical teaching methods and the characteristics of the articles of the textbooks of senior high school and with the prose and poetry of ancient prose as the researching object, this part will introduce four new teaching methods: the method of combination of understanding and memory; reading and reciting method, the combination of explaining and reviewing and interest-motivating method and multimedia presenting method. Finally, with these theories as a guide, we teachers will practice these techniques in real teaching process. And I will present the consequences of the research by means of two teaching cases.
