Classroom teaching, as a basic way for schooling, is one of focuses of new curriculum reform. Primarily, it is a main task for school teaching reform to make the classroom teaching more effective, which, in return, further strengthens the achievements in the curriculum reform. The writer is trying to review and reflect the problems in teaching Chinese reading in terms of effective teaching, hoping to change the present situation where Chinese reading teaching costs a lot while receives few satisfying results. The paper is prepared, trying to strengthen the effectiveness of Chinese reading teaching and help students improve their overall reading abilities and qualities by following students'mental laws when they are involved in reading.The thesis can be divided into three sections. The first section highlights the significance and features of effective Chinese reading teaching in junior middle schools. The second section is presenting the existing problems in Chinese reading teaching in junior middle schools and analyzing the reasons for such low-efficiency. The first section introduces the present situation of Chinese reading teaching in senior middle schools, and then analyzing the reasons from the perspectives of teachers'understandings to teaching, teaching abilities and the teaching assessment mechanisms.The third section, composed of 5 parts, lays the emphasis on how to apply to effective Chinese reading teaching strategies in junior middle schools. The thesis has done some research on how to apply effective reading teaching strategies by putting theories into reality.
