In the process of the new curriculum reform, the new curriculum standard, the new teaching situation, the new teaching strategy and the modularized teaching structure have brought a lot of new feelings and opportunities to the senior school students. And at the same time, it has also brought about new challenges to the teachers who are more familiar with the traditional teaching methods and traditional evaluation.The new curriculum reform standard has put forward the three dimensional-target in the purpose of the curriculum. It aims at improving the scientific literacy of all students. In the implementation process, it advocates varieties of teaching methodology. In the evaluation process, it puts more emphasis on the renew of the teaching concepts and the over-all developments of the students. It has put forward higher demands in the students'experimental abilities as well as their theoretical studies. In the past experimental education system, we put more emphasis on the knowledge and skills and neglected the evaluation of process, methods, emotional attitude and students'values about studies. We can have a timely supervision to the procedure of the experiments if we adopt the qualitative evaluation method in our experimental education, which can help promote the achievement of the three-dimensional target and can help evaluate our students in all rounds. It can positively make up for the insufficiency of traditional evaluation method.The purpose of this course aims to emphasize the necessity of the application of the qualitative evaluation in the group experiments in senior school students in physics in the theoretical level. And it aims to discuss about the feasibility of carrying out the qualitative evaluation in the operation level. It also aims to create a set of specific and feasible procedures and methods combined with real teaching cases. The author hopes that the procedures and methods of qualitative evaluation in the essay can help physics teachers to apply the evaluation theory to their real teaching in an auxiliary way.
