Mindfulness is a kind of one's open and acceptant attitude to the current situation around him, including his idea and his mood. Mindfulness was created by American professor Kabat-zinn in the basis of the east Buddhist meditation at 1970s. After thirty years of development and empirical research, it is proved that mindfulness is very good to treat and alleviate some physical and mental disease, especially for Negative emotions.This thesis summarized the latest empirical research on mindfulness for moods, discusses physiological mechanism and psychological mechanism of mindfulness. Mindfulness training for the junior high school students'depression at one Changchun high school were carried out. After the experimental course, the following results were concluded:1. Mindfulness plays a role in middle school students'depression obviously. After the mindfulness training course, the students'depression were getting much better.2. It is proved that, shortening the training time from eight weeks to six weeks, mindfulness still plays a role in mending depression.3. The method of mindfulness training for junior high school students needs to be improved and adjusted to be suitable for the characteristic of this stage student.
