| Mindfulness is a conscious, no critical process which pays attention to focuson the present, it includes two core ideas: one is to make people focusing on thepresent; the second is to show all of the present experience and don’t make anycomment. This study may to explore the influence about the mindfulness groupcounseling on college students’ level of mindfulness and depression. This researchthrough the form of the posters, school’ BBS recruit participants in Anhui NormalUniversity. And through the questionnaire survey to select twenty-six students whohave depression subjects to participate this study. The participants are divided intotwo groups, one group of11people, the other15people in control group, theexperimental group have mindfulness training once a week, every time have niftyminutes, and train eight weeks mindfulness group counseling. In this training havenot any intervention in the controlling group. And measure the two groups withFive-Factor Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ) and depression self-rating scale (SDS)respectively in before and after consulting. According to the data analysis bySPSS17.0, this study’s results are as following:(1)After eight weeks of the mindfulness counseling group, the Five-FactorMindfulness Questionnaire’s scores of the experimental group is significantly higherthan the control group. The scores of mindfulness questionnaire show thatmindfulness group counseling can improve college students’ level of mindfulness.(2)After eight weeks of the mindfulness counseling group, the depressionscale’s score is significantly lower than the control group; it indicates that themindfulness group counseling can reduce the depression of college students.(3)College students’ level of mindfulness and depression has significantnegative correlation. |
