| Thanks to the policy of promoting the IITC in our country, inquiry learning has been used in students'learning more and more no matter on or after class. Geographical teaching in middle schools has such characteristics as strong spaciousness, difficulty in perceiving macroscopical world and so on. Because information technology has the advantages of diversity and richness, it can bring totally different feelings to the content, methods and efficiency of learning when used in inquiry learning of geography curriculum in middle schools.On the basis of Constructivism Learning Theory, Discovery Learning Theory and Humanism Learning Theory, this dissertation discusses information technology support for inquiry learning of geography curriculum in middle schools from three aspects, that is inquiry learning, IITC and integrating information technology into the geography curriculum in middle schools. Combining with the characteristics of middle schools'geography curriculum as well as the fundamental elements and connotation of inquiry learning, this dissertation explains how to perfectly support the inquiry learning by using the methods of information technology and puts forward the basic principles in designing activities of inquiry learning.In order to combine the theory exploring and teaching practice, the author selects a geography lesson from the seventh grade and designs a short-time inquiry activity on class. Meanwhile, the author gives an explaining and analysis on detail to the designing process and application effects. In the end, the author brings about some principles and techniques from discussion of the theory and the analysis of practice. Meanwhile, there also makes the prospects for the further research in order to help other teachers. |
