Google Earth,as one product of Geographic information science, it has obtained extensive attention both from geographic educators and other industries users since it was created. More importantly, it has already played a vital role in High School geography teaching, especially the students’Geo-spatial literacy.In this study, standing on the literacy study, according to interviews to teachers and students and observation of students’learning behavior, combined with Google Earth-aided teaching, to propose the approaches to enhance students’Geo-spatial literacy, finally using experimental research to conform its effectiveness.The paper, which employs theory to practice as the study route, is presented as three parts:introduction,main body and conclusion.The first part, namely the introduction as well as literature review, analyses research background and current trends.The second part consists of four chapters:The first chapter defines Geo-spatial, space conception and Geo-spatial literacy.Chapter2states the dominate position of Google Earth in geography teaching on the basis of summarizing the characteristic of the software.Chapter3illustrated specific method and expression during the process of enhance students’Geo-spatial literacy.In chapter4, in allusion to the results of survey, the paper apply statistical analysis method to test and verify some views.Finally, the conclusion part summarizes the meaning,the short comings and the direction for further research.
