Physical fitness is the quality of the human body. In the age of university students, the basic body shape and physical fitness has become more mature, but the level of physical and mental development is lagging behind. College students are the country's future hope, which is the underlying dynamic of social sustainable development; good health is the basis of life, adolescent physical strength is the decision of a person's life, will also determines the nation's future prosperity, the decision human progress and development. However, access to literature from the point of view, students there are different degrees of physical and mental health problems at present. Take positive and effective measures to improve students'physical and mental developmental level, not only of great significance, but also of the urgent tasks facing colleges and universities.China's party and government have always attached great importance to young people's physical problems. "Sunshine sports" is to strengthen the implementation and implementation of youth physical activity, physical fitness of the main measures to enhance young people. Youth sports to enhance the physical and psychological quality improvement have a positive and irreplaceable role. Research shows that regular participation in sports, to improve the level of physical fitness and promote mental development has a significant effect. Load of different sports each week (frequency, time) to improve the level of psychological development and the promotion of physical fitness have different effects.In order to explore different weekly exercise load (frequency, time) to improve physical fitness and college levels to promote the effect of psychological development, so as to better carry out sun sports and physical fitness to improve college students to provide theoretical and practical reference. In this paper, through literature, experiment, mathematical statistics from the contemporary college students existing physical and mental health issues in-depth analysis to start, according to the students to choose different projects the number of sports clubs in schools (the largest number of options) and himself familiar with the project - as a representative basketball program for carrying out the sun in the campus sports club activities for students to participate in basketball and did not participate in any club activities, students, and the sun is not carried out in the campus sports activities to participate in basketball instruction for each student week a different exercise load (frequency, time) to improve the students level of physical and psychological development to promote the comparative study of the effectsConcluded as follows: First, our physical fitness and health of young people facing severe challenges in nutrition and increasing levels of body shape, while the physical quality was declining, obesity rates and the incidence of myopia has also been increase. Second, at present, there are the psychological problems of students is reflected in self-care capacity is weak; lack of learning goals and interests; self-assessment is too high or too low; the employment of psychological pressure; lack of communication skills, experience and contacts in several areas. Third, students participate in appropriate basketball, not only can improve the physical, but also help develop good mental qualities. Fourth, the results show that: (1)college basketball 2 times per week on teaching class, though student to improve physical and mental health have a role, but the effect is not obvious, which is to improve leg strength and general college students have a certain level of endurance of the role.(2)college basketball 2 times a week in addition to teaching courses on, but also occasionally take part in extracurricular sports activities, students can more effectively improve the quality of the speed, leg strength, general endurance level, but also more effective in improving mental health interpersonal factors and hostility factor.(3)long-stranding college of not less than one hour a day of basketball activities, students not only can improve the quality of the speed, leg strength, general endurance level, and in addition to the terror factor, paranoid ideation, psychotic factors such as the factors underlying the improvement of mental health is not very clear, the improvement including in summarization factors, forcing factors, interpersonal factors, depression factors, anxiety factors, hostility factors, and most indicators, including students with significant mental health effect.(4)Experimental results show that after the horizontal comparison: students if we continue to participate in physical education and amateur sports are able to enhance physical fitness, promote healthy and to gradually improve mental health. The long, regular leisure-time activities to participate in basketball, to improve student fitness level and improve mental health has a very significant effect.
