| Introduction: At present,the social atmosphere of national fitness is increasingly strong,and physical exercise is becoming a way of life for people.Nowadays,people also pay more attention to the improvement of athletic ability and physical fitness.Recent studies have preliminarily confirmed that high-intensity interval training(HIIT)is safe for the general fitness population and even for people with heart disease,and is more acceptable because of the short duration of exercise and the existence of intervals.The use of sports supplements has a positive impact on human movement ability and mental health,and the use of sports supplements has become an indispensable factor to achieve health promotion and athletic performance improvement in the process of sports.However,there are relatively few intervention studies on health and fitness population using HIIT combined with exercise supplements in existing studies,so the purpose of this study is to explore the effects of drinking Norstrand L-carnitine beverage combined with HIIT on the physical fitness level,body composition and mental health of college students.Patients and methods: The study was a randomized controlled trial with an intervention duration of 8 weeks.A total of 60 college students from XXX were recruited,including 30 students(23 girls and 7 boys)in the experimental group and30 students(22 girls and 8 boys)in the control group.The age range was 18-22 years old.Contents of the experimental intervention:(1)Intervention contents of the experimental group: L-carnitine Norstrand combined with HIIT,three times a week for remote face-to-face training video guidance,30 minutes each time,the subjects were asked to take L-carnitine Norstrand 30 minutes in advance before training;(2)Intervention contents of the control group: placebo combined with HIIT,remote face-to-face training video guidance was conducted three times a week for 30 minutes each time,and subjects were required to take placebo 30 minutes in advance before training.Results: Compared with the control group,after 8 weeks of intervention,the experimental group showificant improvement ed signin physical fitness index maximal oxygen uptake(P=0.016),but no significant improvement in grip strength(P > 0.05),back muscle strength(P > 0.05),flexibility(P > 0.05);Compared with the control group,after 8 weeks of intervention,the experimental group had significant improvements in body composition index body weight(P=0.048),BMI(P=0.011)and body fat(P=0.024),but there were no significant improvements in lean body weight(P > 0.05),body moisture(P > 0.05)and waist-hip ratio(P > 0.05).Compared to the control group,After 8 weeks of intervention,there was no significant improvement in all indicators of mental health of the experimental group in the Self-rating Symptom Scale(SCL-90)(P > 0.05),all indicators of the Chinese College Student Adjustment Scale(CCSAS)(P > 0.05),all indicators of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale(PSQI)(P > 0.05).In terms of physical fitness,the maximum oxygen uptake(P=0.019),grip strength(P=0.000),back muscle strength(P=0.000)and flexibility(P=0.000)of subjects in the experimental group after 8 weeks were significantly improved compared with before intervention.Subjects in control group showed significant improvement in the indexes of maximum oxygen uptake(P=0.039),grip strength(P=0.000),back muscle strength(P=0.000)and flexibility(P=0.000)after 8weeks compared with those before intervention.In terms of body composition,the body weight(P=0.000),BMI(P=0.000),body fat(P=0.000),lean body weight(P=0.000),body moisture(P=0.000)and waist-to-hip ratio(P=0.000)of subjects in the experimental group after 8 weeks were significantly improved compared with those before intervention.Subjects in the control group showed significant improvement in body weight(P=0.000),BMI(P=0.000),body fat(P=0.000),lean body mass(P=0.000),body moisture(P=0.000),and waist-to-hip ratio(P=0.000)after8 weeks compared with before intervention.On the Symptom Self-Rating Scale(SCL-90),After 8 weeks,subjects in the experimental group reported somatization(P=0.001),obsessive-compulsive disorder(P=0.030),interpersonal sensitivity(P=0.000),depression(P=0.029),anxiety(P=0.016),hostility(P=0.001),phobia(P=0.000),paranoia(P=0.000),psychosis(P=0.030)showed significant improvement compared with before intervention;After 8 weeks,subjects in control group reported somatization(P=0.000),obsessive-compulsive disorder(P=0.000),interpersonal sensitivity(P=0.026),depression(P=0.000),anxiety(P=0.001),hostility(P=0.000),phobia(P=0.000),paranoia(P=0.003),psychosis(P=0.007)showed significant improvement compared with before intervention.In the Chinese College Student Adjustment Scale(CCSAS)index,After 8 weeks,the subjects in the experimental group had significant interpersonal adjustment(P=0.000),learning adjustment(P=0.001),campus adjustment(P=0.003),career adjustment(P=0.028),emotional adjustment(P=0.000),self-adjustment(P=0.009)and satisfaction(P=0.000)compared with those before intervention Major improvement;After 8 weeks,the subjects in the control group had significant interpersonal adjustment(P=0.000),learning adjustment(P=0.000),campus adjustment(P=0.000),career adjustment(P=0.000),emotional adjustment(P=0.000),self-adjustment(P=0.003)and satisfaction(P=0.000)compared with those before intervention Sexual improvement.On the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index Scale(PSQI),the time to fall asleep after 8 weeks(P=0.009)was significantly better than before the intervention.However,there were no significant improvements in subjective sleep quality(P > 0.05),subjective sleep duration(P > 0.05),sleep efficiency(P > 0.05),sleep disorders(P > 0.05),hypnotic drugs(P > 0.05)and daytime dysfunction(P > 0.05)compared with those before intervention.Subjects in control group had no significant differences in subjective sleep quality(P > 0.05),sleep time(P > 0.05),subjective sleep time(P > 0.05),sleep efficiency(P > 0.05),sleep disorders(P > 0.05),hypnotic drugs(P > 0.05)and daytime dysfunction(P >0.05)after 8 weeks compared with those before intervention Improve.Conclusion: Through eight weeks of intervention,the use of HIIT exercise means combined with Norstrand L-carnitine drink can improve the physical fitness and body composition of college students,can reduce body fat,enhance cardiopulmonary endurance,improve the exercise ability of the body,and have a certain positive effect on the mental health of college students. |
