Deepens along with Chinese basic education curriculum reform, research learning has become a compulsory course,which is one of the highlights in the new round of the national curriculum reform. Research-based learning emphasizes that students should pay close attention to the social, economic, cultural, and technological problems under teacher's guidance, using existing knowledge and experience integrally to solve problems, learn how to learn, cultivate humanistic spirit and scientific literacy through the process of self exploration and hands-on practice. As can be seen, paying close attention to society and life is the important content of inquiry learning. Local historical resource is the important carrier of society and life. It is close to the student's life. Therefore it can bring students' cordial feelings easily, contribute to trigger their participation to research learning and arouse their study enthusiasm. In this paper, we attempt to combine research learning and local historical resource with the research learning in history subject as carrier, to stimulate students' enthusiasm of developing Lianyungang's historical resource and arouse their awareness of protection of local historical resource. We also explore the strategies and ways of developing local historical resource in historical research learning, in order to find whether it has benefit effects on historical research learning.
