Now China has entered an aging society, and the speed of aging is faster than the world's average level. The emergence of the elder is more and more significant. The education for the elder is not only has a very important role to improve the development of lifelong education system, but also has great significance to the elder themselves, such as helping the elderly to maintain a healthy lifestyle and enrich their life. Chinese society has become more and more attention to the old people. The elder education has been put on the agenda. But, practical and theoretical research has just begun。The paper use literature research, comparative study, project interviews, and pedagogy, sociology subject knowledge. The purpose of the study is to investigate policies of elder education in Taiwan district. Comprehend the background and present situation on the policy of elder education in Taiwan. Analyze and confer the features of the policies of elder education. And bring up reflection and suggestions in order to provide some recommendations for the policy of elder education. This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is introduction, it combs the research results about elder education from home and abroad, and provides the research ideas and technical route; The second part is classification the historical development of elder education policies in Taiwan district, and introduction the two current important education policies; The third part of the text is summarizing the basic features of the polices of the elder education:the purpose of the policy is very clear-cut and concrete; the content of the policy is very diversified and perfect. In the forth part, it expresses the interclass movement, industrialization development, new education ideas, and traditional culture how to effect the development of the policies. The last part, the research brought up the suggestions below:use policies to promote elder education healthy development; put elder education into national lifelong education framework; build a strong system about elder education resources; put the community and other grass-roots organization as the main places for the elder education; improve the pertinence and flexibility of content and perform about the elder education.
