Higher Technical And Vocational Education Of Development And Revelation In Taiwan

Higher Vocational Education is an essential part of Higher Education, and it isthe higher level of Technical and Vocational Education. It responds for training skilledworker, and promotes the development of society, flourishing economy andimprovement of employment. So, it is becoming a key of the Strategy of Developingthe Country through Science, Technology and Education. But, right now the HigherVocational Education in Mainland China has many problems to be solved, just as itstarted too later, the intrinsic system is still not sound enough and the recognition ofthe kind of system is not too much.Technical and Vocational Education in Taiwan not only to absorb the advancedconcepts of modern Western countries vocational education, but also by means of theOriental Confucian culture advocating reading, the pursuit of academic tradition, theeducation system has a perfect structure system. Although the development time isshort, it make a great contribution to economic development of Taiwan, and made itinto the ranks of the Four Little Dragons of Asia, the development of Technical andVocational Education in Taiwan was recognized and praised by the vocationaleducation sector all over the world.This paper takes the Technical and Vocational Education in Taiwan as a researchsubject, begin with its background and historical development, doing some researchon its new trends and to investigate its laws of development. Its aim is to provideuseful inspiration both in theory and practice for exploring the road of thedevelopment of vocational and technical education in mainland China. This paper isformed by the introduction and other four parts.The first part: introduction (Chapter I), including the background andsignificance of the research projects, the research status, and research methods.The second part: the theoretical basis of the Technical and Vocational Educationin Taiwan,(Chapter II), including the direction of development of higher educationand vocational education and the concept of relevant theoretical basis, in order toprovide the basis for the subsequent writing.The third part: the history of the development of higher vocational education inTaiwan (Chapter III), mainly from the environmental of historical development andeconomic development of the social and political, analysis the Technical and Vocational Education in Taiwan during the past60years, and then try to point out thechallenges and problems of Taiwan technical and Vocational education.The fourth part: the reforms and new trends of the Technical and VocationalEducation in Taiwan (Chapter IV), Through Taiwan ’s "Ministry of education" data,analysis of the new trend of Taiwan higher vocational education development.The fifth part: the revelation of the Technical and Vocational Education inTaiwan on the mainland vocational and technical education (Chapter V).In thischapter the writer thinking of the development of vocational and technical educationin mainland China through analyzing the success of Taiwan Higher Technical andVocational Education. Try to explore a road for future high level of technicaleducation development in mainland China.
