The long break activity is a new form of refreshment in the process of promoting and deepening quality education reform. In order to change the the status of the Calisthenics which is unitary, boring and ineffective, many districts provide exercise programs such as basketball, football, badminton, table tennis, shuttlecock, rope skipping for students to choose in the long break to stimulate the students' interest in sport, explore their potential and form shool characteristic long breaks.This research applies literature study, questionnaire investigation, expert interview, logic analysis, mathematical statistics to analyze the carry out of skip in guangzhou elementary school and explore the factors which influence the carry out of skip in the long break.Research results show that:1.Rope skipping is good for students' physical and psychological health, eliminates the hidden safety problem, elevates campus sport culture and cultivate students' spirit of solidarity, but at present the value hasn't caused school leaders and sports teachers' attention.2. Rope skipping is not very popular during the break in guangzhou primary schools. A minority of schools often conduct rope skipping during the long break in the form of contest, taking presentatives from each class as players and most of the students as audience, thus, not all students have the chance to skip during the break. The construction of rope skipping projects is usually quite unitary, and most schools mainly develop two projects including 30 seconds positive and negative wave jump and collective ran 8 characters jump. Examination-oriented education concept3. The concept of exam-oriented education, the implemetation mistakes of the long break, the concept of the leaders, teacher resource, rope skipping skills and styles are all factors which blocks rope skipping out of the long break, and the lack of qualified teachers,field and equipment are the main ones. The lack of qualified teachers lies in lack of skip rope skill training for P.E. teachers,leading to that they cannot teach students various skip fancy. The field and equipment problem is mainly embodied in insufficiency school fields for all students to skip at the same time, and schools are short of capital investment in sports facilities, lacking professional figure skip for teachers and students, affecting the development of rope skipping in long break.According to the conclusion,this paper suggests:intensify the publicity of rope skipping knowledge and the guidance of its carrying out, change the old way of carrying out rope skipping in the long break to raise the percentage of participation, strengthen teachers' rope skipping skil training, and increase capital investment in school sports equipment.
