The application of mathematics is the important content in mathematics education. Call on consciousness of application of mathematics and improve the teaching quality of application of mathematics have become all mathematics educators'common sence. Carrying out the research of high school mathematical modeling teaching and application roles an important significance on aspects as improve students mathematical applied consciousness, foster students'thinking ability and problem-solving and problem-analysis skills, expedite high school mathematics deductional reform and comprehensively promote competence-oriented education. On the basis of the study of mathematics model and modeling, this paper summarizes the design principles, teaching mode, teaching method and teaching content of high school mathematical modeling educational activities (Chapter 1 & 2); middle school mathematical modeling education and high school applicability education (Chapter 3); discussing how to construct high school level mathematical application and modeling (Chapter 4). In addition, it brings forward that mathematical problem solving psychological mechanism and the teaching materials and methods have important enlightenment on carrying out mathematics modeling teaching (Chapter 5). It raises that the main characteristics of mathematic constructurism learning guides an important role on middle school modeling teaching. It says modeling teaching is the middle school students actively constructing exploration process. The idea of"Students themselves are the principal subject" should be truly established on modeling teaching process. This text mainly describes the understanding and practice of operating mathematics competence-oriented education among mathematical modeling teaching and mathematical modeling teaching is an important field in the high school mathematical researching subject. It offers view that we must optimize the middle school mathematics modeling teaching process, in which to emphasize the application of mathematics, developing of non-intelligence factor and the development of moral education function of mathematical modeling activities. This paper also discusses the composition and interpenetration of the middle school mathematics modeling education and computer aided education.
