Influenced by the theory of constructivism, experts have put forward the scaffolding instruction, which is drawing people's attention, because it plays an important part in teaching. However, the present situation of Chinese language teaching is far from satisfaction, and the teachers'educational ideas and teaching methods need to be improved. How to improve the quality and efficiency of Chinese language teaching in primary schools is worth exploring by all Chinese teachers.Based on the research achievement done by forefathers, this essay makes a theoretical study of the use of the scaffolding instructional strategy to develop the language aptitude of primary school students in the light of the methods, like the theoretical study, the documentary study and the case study. Furthermore, this essay discusses how to use the scaffolding instructional strategy in Chinese language teaching in primary schools, which consists of four chapters.Chapter One discusses the academic background of the study, gives an introduction to the Scaffolding Instruction and some related concepts, as well as gives a literature review of scaffolding instruction at home and abroad. Besides, it introduces the purpose, the theory and the practical significance of the topic.Chapter Two mainly makes a theoretical study of the use of the scaffolding instructional strategy to develop the language aptitude of primary school students, proposes the necessity of carrying out the scaffolding instruction in Chinese language teaching in primary schools, and also discusses the scaffolding strategies to promote the children's language aptitude. The scaffolding is dynamic so the teachers should treat children with a developmental viewpoint and they should be flexible to design five steps to set up scaffolding. The scaffolding instruction is correspondence with the characteristics of teaching children to learn and the principle of teaching students according to their aptitude and it gives the students sufficient respect.Chapter Three discusses how to use the scaffolding instructional strategy in Chinese language teaching in primary schools, including its purpose, methods, procedures, results and qualifications.Chapter Four puts forward some suggestions based on the study.
