The Research Of Clan Members' Behavioral Strategies In Rural Clan Activities

At present,Clan activities begin to revive in many places, It become a social landscape of rural communities. This is a universal social phenomenon. Although the clan has been the focus of the study of all subjects,the reason of clan renaissance, the impact of clan renaissance, the relationship of clan and rural autonomy and so on, these have been more fully explained. At the same time, the studies on the clan members'behavior strategy in clan activities are scare. on this basis, the study selects H village of Z county in southern Anhui Province as research sites, take the Wang clan members'behavior strategy in the activities of building temple and fixing genealogy as research object.Using Bourdieu's theory of social practice, from the individual perspective of clan members,through the study on the clan members'behavior in specific field, showing the different attitude and behavior strategies of the clan members at different position. From the field, habitus, capital, these three perspectives explain the reasons behind the different behavioral strategies.The purpose of this study is, the clan members who have different activity reasons behind their behavior strategies.Based on the empirical investigation.the study draws the conclusions that:the views and attitudes of the different clan members are not the same when they face the clan activities,and their behavior strategies are different,too.Clan members support the building temple and fixing genealogy and actively participate in them,dominant position in the filed, Sense of history,responsibility, belonging and achievement motivation impact on their behavior, at the same time, their behavior is also the result of seeking the capital accumulation and capital transformation. Ordinary clan members have different attitudes towards to clan activities,some people endorse,some people oppose.their behavior are influenced by Subservient position, traditional clan culture,collective orientation psychological,renqing and face,in order to chasing capital,they choose to participate in activities. Not all clan members who didn't participate in activities had opposition to clan ac activities. Their behavior are influenced by the position of being dominated, religion,weak clan consciousness,their behavior is also the result of trading off the interests.This study feature use sociological theory and methods, based on field survey,Theoretical Study on the clan members'behavioral strategies which in rural clan activities.
