Communication is one of the basic needs of human being and a good communicative ability is also a basic requirement of contemporary society to the development of talents. As to college students, good communicative skills could not only improve the learning efficiency but also be of great importance to the development of individualism and cultivation of a sound personality, and finally promote physical and mental health of college students. Therefore, the ideological education in higher education should focus on the cultivation of college students'communicative ability.Due to the individual psychological difference, family educational environment, adaptability to social environment, regional culture shock or cultural differences between urban and rural areas, contemporary students are deficient or bewildered in communicative skills. Among them, the rural backgrounds do contribute to the confusion of some college students. This dissertation makes an analysis on the interpersonal confusion of college students so as to dispose the factors influencing college students' interpersonal communication and meanwhile make some propositions from the perspective of urban-rural dual structure and the culture shock of urban and rural social life.This dissertation consists of four chapters. Chapter one summarizes current situation and existing problems on the interpersonal communication of contemporary college students. It is commonly believed that the interpersonal communications of college students are self-centered, virtualized, and utilitarian. Chapter two reveals the problems of interpersonal communication in rural college students, namely, on the aspect of behavioral patterns, negative retreat from interpersonal communication, self-containment; on the aspect of subjective motives, emotional communication and exchange of utilitarian conflict; on the aspect of psychology, low self-esteem, loneliness, a sense of weakness and depression.Chapter three makes an analysis on the factors influencing rural college students' interpersonal communication. Great importance is attached to the analysis of the influence of social factors and family background on rural college students'interpersonal communication. This dissertation disposes that interpersonal communication is confined to difference of economy development level, the education level as well as the culture development level of rural and urban region from the aspect of social factors. On the aspect of family background, the interpersonal communication of children is influenced by the educational method of their parents, which is related to their education level.Chapter four proposes that some measures should be taken from the aspect of college ideological education. Firstly, creating an equal and harmonious campus culture, creating a harmonious atmosphere of the campus interpersonal relationships, and creating a harmonious interpersonal atmosphere in the classroom and dormitory, promoting equality between students and respect each other; secondly, creating an equal and mutual help system on the campus. Establishing a sound system of mental health education and interpersonal early warning mechanism, establishing links between schools and parents mechanism. Thirdly, fostering harmonious interpersonal relationships and carrying out activities of social practice on the combination of theory and practice. Training the skills of Interpersonal communication on theoretical knowledge and skills, focusing on the role of ideological and political theory courses in social practice and giving full play to improve the level of interpersonal communication of college students.
