Bafang Hui Community Social Assistance Research

In the period of accelerated transformation of our society, there are more and more people paid attention to the urban Muslim community building and community development issues. With the social transformation and the urbanization accelerating process, the urban Muslim communities which live "around the Temple"and make Islamic culture as the core of community culture under the impact of modernization of the city also in rapid social change. In the traditional and modern game, the conflict of survival and development, diverse poverty of communities, allocation of resources competitive issues and so on which are showed in Bafang Hui community plagued the development of this traditional Muslim communities. Therefore , the research and study of BafangHui community social assistance on the present status and existing problems, causes and countermeasures and in-depth exploration is of great theoretical and practical significance. National security system as a background play a crucial role in Bafang Hui community social assistance, but government limitations of social assistance is also evident. The idea"love and mutual assistance"which contained in Islamic culture made Bafang Hui formed daily and the general assistance in the long-term development, become" official aid "important supply ,and also formed the traditional atmosphere of mutual help in Bafang Hui community. The thesis mainly discusses how Islamic traditional social assistance plays a significant role in the community ,plays its convenient and efficient function, when national security system failed to work ,how national power involves in community life with the support of Islamic culture resources ,and how social assistance and islamic charity interact well.From the angle view of Ethnology, combined with case interview ,the historical documentation, the sociological questionnaire investigation and data analysis, this paper takes Bafang street agency area in Linxia as the research object ,and systematically investigates and studies the practice. of this tradition Hui communitie's social assistance system.This dissertation consists of four chapters .The first chapter, "Introduction" to the cause and significance of topics, research methods and fieldwork are described, and the related researches comb. The second chapter " the history of Bafang's social assistance ", mainly described the historical and cultural environment of the Bafang, the origin of the Bafang's name , one of the Bafang far Muslim culture and the historical records of Bafang social assistance .The third chapter, "Modern Eight Square social assistance", mainly expounds the present situation of Bafang , the Bafang social assistance under the Islamic cultural identity ,and the social assistance of Bafang under the National security system . The fourth chapter "Bafang social assistance for the analysis and thinking", is the conclusion of this paper. In this chapter, the author expounds on Bafang "Interaction and adaptation of traditional and modern" social assistance model, analyzing the current Bafang existing the problems such in the community social assistance policy, mechanism, social participation and assistance method, and point out some suggestions and countermeasures to be taken in order to further promote the development of local social assistance.
