How to deal with relationships between and among nationalities in a multi-national country has always been of great concern for each individual and group of political leaders as this has important connections with unity of the country, social stability and the developing opportunities for each person. Therefore, as a important field reflecting inner structures of relationships among varied nationalities, cross-race-intermarriage has become a major theme of investigation and research for many scholars.The marriage combines opposite sexes to form a family which constitutes elementary components of the human society, which is also an important point in the analysis of social changes. The marriage is a choice of great importance, because it embodies a kind of social relations rather than an individual action when one choose his or her spouse. This kind of social relations is dedicated by ideology and other social forces. In terms of cross-race-intermarriage, it reflects harmonious state of race amalgamation through the demarcation, evaluation and selection of a special race.Except few cases, only when the majority of two national groups bear strong resemblance between each other or reach a state of harmony to a great extent, and extensive social exchanges exist between the two national groups, can intermarriage be possible. In this connection, cross-race-intermarriage can be seen as a result brought about by the harmonization of the relations between nationalities. At the same time, cross-race-intermarriage in turn will enhance friendship and expand exchanges between nationalities through intercourse by the two families of the couples. And it will step up further harmonization. So the cross-race-intermarriage is a dimension of status of the relationship between different nationalities, as well as a measure for harmonization.A least-populous nationality, He Zhe Nationality witness a process of development in his intermarriages, showing the general trend of the increasing improvement of race relationship in China. Now, the intermarriage of He Zhe Nationality features a character of universality among its people with a rate of as high as 80%. We will also promote theperfection and development of the theory in the fields of cross-race intermarriage and national relations in addition to supplying material to the above mentioned fields internationally, through the study of the process of development, characters and impetus of intermarriage, and the influence of such intermarriage on the trend of its population growth and language and culture development, also on the relationship in communities and nationalities. At present, in the shortage of domestic research in such cases, the systematic study on intermarriage cases of He Zhe Nationality will provide useful reference in such fields.This study benefits from the methods of participative observation, deep interview and questionnaire investigation . We select Si Pai He Zhe Nationality Village to carry out our investigation, and see about the cross-race-intermarriage, make a detailed analysis of the high rate of cross-race-intermarriage. In the 5 section of this article, this author carefully studied the reasons for such high rate in individual and collective point of views. In the 6 section, this author mainly explored the influence of such intermarriage on the population, language, culture and local national relations of He Zhe Nationality. The national mixed type of family has been widely set up between the Han Nationality and He Zhe Nationality nationality, the policy of cross-race intermarriage has been executed through all the population borne after 1970s. The offspring of such intermarriage has all registered as He Zhe Nationality population, thus promote the population growth of He Zhe Nationality to some extent. But the Herzhe language has experienced certain kind of retrogression due to the increase of such families.
