The promulgation and implementation ofThe National Outline for Medium- and Long-Term Educational Reform and Development (2010-2020) sets a higher demand for the overall quality of faculty members. As a basic composition of the teaching staff's education, faculty's further education is an effective approach to improve the quality of teacher team, and the continuing education for primary and secondary school teachers is of high significance. Presently, the relative researches about teachers'further education mainly focus on teachers in broad sense, while the researches targeted at the teachers of some basic educational principles can hardly be found. With the purpose of culturing students'ideological qualities and ethical standards, Politics, reflecting the nature of Chinese education, is one of the basic educational courses and lies the core position in junior middle school basic education. The further education of politics teachers means culturing qualified politics teachers to meet the higher demands for teachers. Teachers should absorb the new idea and requirements of the National Outline and convert it to their inner belief so as to improve their comprehensive qualification and professional knowledge, which is of significant importance in modern times.The research methodology adopted in this paper includes literature review, questionnaire, personal interview and etc.. The politics teachers from 12 junior middle schools in Suzhou inner city district are taken as the research subjects. Focusing on the current further education of politics teachers in Suzhou junior middle schools, this paper is intended to figure out the effect of continuing education and politics teachers'real demands for it. On the basis of present problems in further education and its possible causes, some countermeasures are put forward, such as improving the further educational management system for politics teachers in junior middle school to meet the higher demands of teaching staffs'professional qualities. It is hoped that this paper can offer some insights and constructive suggestions for the decision-and-policy-making of politics teachers'further education in Suzhou junior middle schools.
