After the reform of Jiangsu entrance examination mode, the importance of mathematics education is increasing and the tendency to pay most attention to mathematics test scores becomes more obvious accordingly. The increase of the class hour and the spread of reference books lead to students'bitter study and teachers tired teaching. However, all the pains obtain less than expected. In fact, this kind of teaching strategies focuses too much on exercises with inefficiency, which is entirely contrary to the spirit of quality education. As we all know, reducing the students'burden of study has become a widespread concern, so it is imperative to improve the efficiency of mathematics teaching. Therefore, it is of great significance to study the teaching strategies to improve the efficiency of the high school mathematics teaching.Based on the study about the successful teaching models home and abroad which are aimed to improve teaching efficiency and with the purpose of increasing students interest in mathematics study and enhancing students' awareness of the application of mathematics, this thesis puts forward several teaching strategies to improve teaching efficiency at senior high school and analyzes different applications of each teaching strategies to the daily teaching practice. Literature review and questionnaire are adopted in this thesis combined with the author's own teaching practice.This thesis consists of six parts. The first part introduces the purpose and significance of the study, and defines the subject-related concepts. The second part introduces the theoretical basis of teaching education and the high-efficiency experimental teaching reform home and abroad by means of literature review. The third part explains the methods adopted in the study. The fourth part makes a sample survey of the students'problem-solving strategies, their mathematics learning habits and their study motivation. Based on the analysis of the data collected from the survey, the thesis finds out the reasons for the inefficiency of high school students'mathematics study: (1) The examination-oriented math learning make most students lack interest and motivation in math study. (2) The students don't have good learning habits, as they lack independent thinking and just memorize the teachers'methods of doing exercises. (3) Most of the students ignore the learning strategies, but spend much time doing endless exercises to improve the scores temporarily. Based on the study of the first two parts ,the fifth part comes up with six teaching strategies through the teaching practice That is: (1) Strengthen effective asking and improve the students'rational thinking ability.(2) Stimulate students' learning emotions by adopting the multimedia teaching methods.(3) Fully to carry on the mathematical experiment, develop the students'mathematics application consciousness (4) Updating the teaching idea, agreeing with the learning interest and confidence of the students (5) Choose the appropriate form of operation, strengthen the effect of classroom teaching. (6) Stimulate the students'interests in exploring math by creating the teaching scenes. The sixth part is the outcome and the reflection of this study.
