The change of the teaching strategy is the demand of the improvement of the current teaching situation in China. During the reform in English education and teaching, it is necessary to cultivate teachers'theoretical knowledge, which is helpful in combining the theory with practice in teaching process, so that students can form an accurate understanding of language learning and apply an effective learning methods actively in their English studies. After years of teaching practice and research, teachers increasingly realize that besides a good preparation for class in advance, and scientific application of modern educational technology, we should also study the rule of students'psychological activities . Many teachers has applied knowledge of psychology to the teaching process, which has already become a tendency. Based on pedagogical psychology, we can improve our teaching effect to meet the need of modern education. But the first thing we have to do is to create new teaching method and optimize our teaching strategy.This paper studies the teaching strategy carried out in Kunshan senior high school trying to analyze the current situation and existing problems roundly and systematically. And the author also tries to do research on a better teaching strategy based on Gestalt psychology, which has been put into practice in Kunshan senior high school. The aim of this paper is to enrich English teachers'teaching theories and benefit English learners , using Gestalt Psychology to further explore the Gestalt Strategy.This paper can mainly be divided into five parts.The first part introduces research background and significance, it also illustrate the basic framework and research methods briefly. The second part is about the classification of teaching strategies, the historical and current studies of the implement of teaching strategies both at home and abroad, which provide the theoretical basis of the researcher's study. The third part is the investigation on the current state of the strategy application in Kunshan senior high school. The last part analyzes the problems existing in the practice of the researcher's teaching strategy according to the researcher's teaching practice and questionnaire survey, launches a series of reflection and proposes solutions to existing problems.
