A New Exploration On How To Enhance University Students' Ideological And Political Education Under The Context Of The Credit System

With the continuous development of our market economy system and higher education, the society also requires those talented people who have qualified with solid basis, outstanding personality and comprehensive development. Especially, with the proposition of"people-oriented"and"human resource development", universities regard complete credit system as the goal of their higher education system and also it is an inevitable trend for them to reform their education system and improve the quality of their teaching.No matter in the curriculum choice, period of schooling, students'independence or other aspects, the complete credit system is more flexible than academic year system. In this case, traditional ideological and political education is facing a severe challenge in the aspects of contents, carriers, courses, skills and so on in education. Under the complete credit system, we must discuss how to display the advantageous resources to improve students'political quality, how to enhance the effectiveness of ideological and political education is a new and a challenging task.According to picking up tutorial system domestic and abroad, combining with Soochow University's experiences in complete credit system, the writer put forward a new exploration on how to enhance university students'ideological and political education under the context of the credit system----basis and modules. That is a tentative idea to enhance college students'ideological and political education by basis and modules in the light of their Self-learning abilities and target selections. This basis and modular tutorial system not only treat and guide lower and higher grade differently but also in the target of different education on the classification of their choices. Both concluding students'studies, lives, employments, thoughts or other aspects, and also covering ideological and political education in the process of directions. Above all, they will get the aim of strengthen ideological and political education imperceptibly. The reasons for me to propose this basis and modules system are trying to set up a logical chain between the theory and the practice on effectiveness for ideological and political education. Finally, the writer brings forward ideology security, institution system and organization endurances for the system to become true.
