Through using methods of documentation, experts interviews, logistical analysis, observation, and so on, the author studies and analyses a variety of practice methods in teaching and training of table tennis. The research shows that each method has its own benefits and drawbacks, which plays an important role in forming the movement and improving skills. According to different targets and tasks as well as the actual situation of practitioners, the teacher or coach can select one or several appropriate methods to practice, in order to get the best results in the shortest time. For the purpose of learning new movements and skills, the methods of bare-handed practices and exercise repetition should be mainly employed, supplemented by multi-ball practice; to correct errors, the methods of bare-handed practices and exercise repetition should be chosen; exercise repetition and multi-ball practice should be used in order to consolidate the skills; whereas to improve the skills and actual combat ability, methods of combination, changes, and multi-ball practice should be used. In numerous practice methods, there isn't the best, but only the most appropriate way to practice.
