The English curriculum is one of the main courses in senior high school, it posses both humanity and instrumental nature. In order to help the students in high schools make a good condition for their further education, work and life-long learning, lay language foundation better, and promote their mind, emotion, attitude and values and so on develop and prove their comprehensive humanity qualities, so many specialists, scholars and teachers in education field work hard for the new education practice reformation all the time. To make this object come true, the newest English curriculum criterion of high school advocated Task-Based Language teaching (TBL teaching)model and Task-Based Language teaching channel, the students can reform their applied abilities of comprehensive language by this way. The new curriculum reformation in our country has been carried nearly ten years, it is still worthy investigating the situation that how the Task-Based Language teaching is in this changeable process in the present time. How to improve this teaching model, and give our advices to the English teachers in the class and the researchers for the English education according to the realistic situation is the original intention of this thesis.Here a common senior high school in Changchun was a case study in this thesis. The author collected so many materials about TBL teaching model, and processed and analyzed this information, also comprised the collecting results from the class, then summarized the new teaching situation of TBL teaching method in this senior high school. According to this research results, lined the advantages and shortcomings in the implementation process of TBL teaching, and at last also given some pieces of improve advice to the shortcomings in the teaching process.This thesis contained the following four parts: the first part is the instruction part, it shows the study background, study aims, meaning and methods; the second part is the basic theory of TBL teaching in the senior high school, it obtains relative concepts, the basic theory and features of TBL teaching, implemental steps, designing and implemental principles of TBL teaching and so on; the third part is the investigation of the realistic situation about the TBL teaching in senior high school, it includes investigation designing, the advantages and shortcomings of TBL teaching model in the senior high school from author's opinion; the last part is the improve strategies to the shortcomings.
