"Structure and properties of matter"is an important module in high school chemistry curriculum. It helps students to understand the material relationship between structures and properties; it also helps students to improve the abilities of analyzing and solving problem. Because of its high level of abstraction,"Structure and properties of substances"module is rarely chosen in many experimental areas. In high school chemistry curriculum standards, the crystal structure and properties is included in the"nature of chemical bonding and material" and "the nature of intermolecular forces and material", which two areas contain the core knowledge of this module. Based on the present situation and reason, we chose"structure and properties of crystal"this section of the"Structure and properties of substances"module to compare three versions (Renjiao version, Sujiao version, Luke version) of high school curriculum standards test textbook. We hope these research conclusions can provide some useful help to the choice and teaching of the textbook. This paper includes the following chapters:The first chapter is an introduction. It gives an introduction to research background, research development situation, research methods and the reason of the topic selected. It also defines some related concepts of this research. The second chapter is the theoretical basis of this subject. It mainly introduces the disciplines basic structure theory, constructivist learning theory, developmental psychology theory and the United States, "2061"program evaluation criteria for textbooks. It also describes some advices provided by the four theories to the preparation and evaluation of textbooks. The third chapter is the overall design of the research. It mainly expounds the research ideas and gives the research model. The fourth chapter is the comparative study about"structure and properties of crystal"between the old and new textbooks. By comparing textbooks of different periods, we can get the differences about"structure and properties of crystal"between the old and new textbooks. The fifth chapter is the main body of the study. We compare"structure and properties of crystal"in the three versions of textbooks by the following aspects: the interface with the compulsory module, the content selection and organization, the content presentation and the design about related exercises. The sixth chapter is the conclusion of the study and discussion. It gives the similarities and differences about"structure and properties of crystal"in the three versions of textbooks. It also gives some using suggestions about"structure and properties of crystal"in the three versions of textbooks.
