With the innovation of new curricula, development of teaching belief, the teachers gradually change their teaching methods, and students change their learning approaches correspondently. In this sense, the teaching belief of math teachers plays an important role in the upgrading of new curricula, also the teachers face more requirements. The teaching belief can be separated into three parts, math nature, math teaching, math learning. To explore the conception of math teaching, means to analyze and discuss it from many dimensions and perspectives.The students from normal high schools belong to the group of pre-service teachers, their belief of teaching will pose strong influences in their later educational work. The purpose of the normal high schools is to cultivate excellent middle school teachers for society, so the building of teaching belief with the students is of extreme importance.This paper does research on the teaching belief of high school students combining qualitative methods with quantitative methods. Results shows: the overall state of teaching belief is good, but there are dramatic contrasts between male and female, the average teaching belief for female is above male notably; the teaching belief with post graduates in their second year is above students in other five grades; among undergraduates, those who perform better with their academic study is more advantageous; among postgraduates, those who specialize in teaching methods outperform their counterparts who specialize in research. From the perspectives of math nature, math teaching and math learning, more results shows different genders, grades, and academic rankings in their major affect greatly in the teaching belief. Finally, this paper gives some advice to improve the level of teaching belief of high school students.
