From 1980s,teacher professionalization has become an international tide and trend in development of teacher education.As a core component of teacher professionalism,teacher professional knowledge decides the quality of teaching.The Research results of teacher professional knowledg show that more research stay in the level of ought to be,but the actual state of professional knowledge is relatively small from home and abroad. Few people are interested in the rural teachers.According to actual needs of professional development of teachers in rural areas, based on the basic theory of professional knowledge of teachers, anguage teachers of primary school as an example, Investigation through practice, to discover, analyze and study professional development of primary school language teachers in rural areas.Content in the study,the whole paper is consisted of six parts (introduction, basic theory, practice surveys, problem analysis , strategy and conclusion). First, the introduction of this paper includes issues raised ,background and significance, purpose and content, process and methods. Secondly, based on concept, lassification, orientation, and other basic theoretical of knowledge and teacher knowledge at home and abroad,this paper will analyse the actual situation of the rural primary school language teachers in professional development, at the same time, construct the basic structure of primary school language teachers in the professional knowledg development. not only provide the foundation theory, but also set up the survey dimension for my paper.Thirdly, this paper will present the results through the investigation of Yongji County in Jilin Province as innovative experimental area of teacher educationof Northeast Normal University. Fourthly,this paper will in-depth analyse and find the problems of rural primary school language teachers in the professional knowledg development. Fifthly, this paper will provide some recommendations for professional knowledge developmen of primary school language teachers. Finally, I will reflect the inadequacies of the present study as a whole.In the research method, this study combines the use of literature analysis, questionnaires, interview three methods.Reading through a lot of literature and analysis, this study will determine the research questions, select the research methods, design a research plan and form research ideas, in order to provide the basic and compaction theory for the study.The survey of rural primary school language teachers mainly related to sources of expertise, the level of professional knowledge and strategy for three survey dimensional.The Investigation of the level of professional knowledge include knowledge of educational theory, curriculum knowledge, subject content knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge. Interviews for the survey is mainly relate to the understanding of professional knowledge for classroom teachers, the feedback of classroom teaching ,teacher training and so on,in order to make up the shortfall of questionnaires.In the study results. the overall state of knowledge of rural primary school language teachers is not ideal. From the overall look of outside.there are some issues in concepts of knowledge, sources of knowledge ,supply and demand of knowledge, trends of knowledge development and so on for teachers in the rural area. In the internal expertise. there is also some problems.for example, pay no attention to theoretical knowledge, language knowledge is not solid, curriculum knowledge is not understood and teaching effectiveness is not ideal. How to solve these problems? This study will make some suggestions and ideas from levels of the system, schools, teachers for reference and information.hope to improve the level of professional knowledg of ruralprimary school language teachers.
