As an important part of vocational ideological education team,the frontline Organizer and educator of students'ideological education,vocational counselors is the indispensable power of guarantying the colleges'correct education orientation and carry the party's education policy comprehensively. While a student at the stage of University is the important period for the forming of the students'views of world,life and values. Counselors are the teachers with who students contact most directly and frequently after they entering the vocational colleges,who are the most directly driver of the students,who are the direct maintainer of the school's normal teaching order,who are the direct organizer of the Campus cultural construction,also,counselors is the direct executor of the construction of the whole school's spirit and tradition.With a high development speed and the students'registration rate,higher vocational colleges provide a broad employment platform for the counselors during recent years. With the increase of the number of vocational counselors,the function and the problems of the counselors also appear. It can be said that college instructors are the backbone of the ideological and political education,Undertaking lots of jobs in school,such as ideological and political education,mental health education,student career planning,employment guidance,etc,since the effective ways of counselors'selection,training,assessment,and motivating still can not find,the satisfaction rate of the counselor job is not high,the team is unstable.Through a survey of college students in Hebei province,this paper make an analysis on the occupation of the vocational college counselor,reasonable positioning their role,counselors'professional quality,service,management skills which students pointed out,make a conclusion that the college instructors play as multiple roles,like the political leader, educators on thoughts,administrator and facilitator of mental health,etc. A successful counselor first should have a good personality,and then who must hold high professionalism, at the same they must have a good mental health to handle a variety of emergency events. At last,counselor should master professional knowledge structures and basically work skills, also have good professional ethics. Talking to the service and management skills,college instructors should possess skills of solving problem,planning,organizing,creative and practical ability communication ability.According to the investigation results,this paper work on how to improve the quality of institutionalized escalation which extracted from instructors in higher vocational counselors;coaches can use education blog platform and other network means to learn more;Higher vocational colleges should encourage counselors to more scientific research,some creative ideas and initiatives on improving the ideological and political work.Aimed at the major issues of the construction of higher vocational college counselors, such as: team instability,irrational structure,vague job roles,etc,this paper make a detailed analysis of the causes of these problems with a further exploring of the solutions. Associated the theory of psychology,human resource management with the practical of the vocational instructors'daily work,the research of university counselors'performance management based on competency model can offer beneficial reference foundation on research of development and management of university human resources. College counselors can establish responsibilities clearly,we can achieve these two goals by modernize the management of career including the establishment of the job description and the management of the recruiting,training and so on. It can be used as the basis for the training and development, according to the post of duty requirements,targeted training and improves the working abilities of the instructors. Discusses the competency of theory applied to college coach selection,training,mentoring,career development and evaluation of the necessity for vocational counselors provide useful reference basis. At last,this paper will help the vocational colleges'counselors in career planning,so that the instructors have clear direction, and constantly improving itself. Meanwhile,though the way of solving the problem of counselors'further development to stable their career.
