In the past hundreds of years, the British apprenticeship system has experienced ups and downs, which has been holding a special favor from the British. The success of the German Dual System after World War II has caused the British enthusiasm for the reform of their apprenticeship. In 1993, British Government began to reform the apprenticeship system with the innovation and development of the modern apprenticeship system. The reform has further laid the foundation of the apprenticeship system as the typical form of the work-based vocational education for the British, and reshaped the UK to develop the economic strength as a image of a powerful country in the world through the apprenticeship system. Through a series of reform, the Modern Apprenticeship of UK has formed a related system which face to young people aged more than 14, including the primary apprenticeship, youth apprenticeship, apprenticeship, advanced apprenticeship and adult apprenticeship system. The success of UK Modern Apprenticeship reform is inseparable from its comprehensive management model, which has managed to apply its full range of institutions to promote the increase of various forms of training evaluation, managed to enhance the core skills training, and to meet the needs of employers and apprentices by flexible implementation. After a series of sound management practice for more than ten years, the UK Modern Apprenticeship has gradually highlighted some problems and drawbacks.Based on the in-depth study of the British modern apprenticeship management, compared with its traditional apprenticeship model, the paper has summed up the features of the modern apprenticeship system management. Summarizing the paper to clarify ideas again, stating the lack of research in this paper and the subsequent research projects.UK Modern Apprenticeship has built a path of lifelong education for social workers, which has combined the national strategy, skills training and employers' needs, not only assisting young people to get the knowledge and skills in schools and the actual sites, but also tying their own values to the importance of socialization. In the process of China's industrial development, the apprenticeship system has also occupied an important position. However, the apprenticeship system has gradually moved out of sight since the 1980s. The problem that whether Apprenticeship system still could adapt to China's current economic development status has to be studied lately. Although British modern apprenticeship is different from the China's in many ways, the study of modern British apprenticeship system, especially the research of its management, will provide a new perspective, a theoretical and practical reference for the development of China's apprenticeship.
