With the deepening of our country's reform and opening-up, the scale of foreign trade has increased rapidly, and our country has been one of the largest export nations in the world. But after U.S. financial crisis in 2007, China's export has confronted serious challenge, the further expansion of export scale has been hampered obviously, the economic efficiency of export has lowed obviously. The reason is that there are more distorts in the personnel training objectives of all kinds of high education instituations, vocational colleges ans schools, and the curriculum models and contents are different from enterprise export practice.The research aims at problems of international trade major of Guangdong Z vocational school, such as more theories in the courses, low interest of students'learning, less effeciency of students'learning, poor practical application competence, etc.In the extracurricular learning, the international trade major students in Grade 2007 from Guangdong Z vocational school have been taken in the export project of Nanhai C decoration material co.,Ltd. in Foshan to participate Canton fair No.105 (April, 2009) and No.106 (October, 2009). The first-hand experience and feeling have been obtained. On such a basis, using theory of curriculum development based on work process, developing and designing unit teaching for Canton fair participation, to train international trade major students'competence is the final objective of curriculum development. Firstly, in the focus on action area for Canton fair, analysing the typical export tasks of Canton fair participation.Secondly, designing and developing the learning area for Canton fair, including analysis of competence, objective and construction of Canton fair participation.Thirdly, designing and developing learning situation for Canton fair participation. Finally, presenting action for Canton fair participation, including project, teaching methods and evaluation. Through evaluation and survey, showing that the students in Grade 2007 from Guangdong Z vocational school who have participated Canton fair No.105 and 106 are satisfied with development and application on the unit teaching for Canton fair participation based on work process, and the students'competence have been strengthened obviously.
