The Role Research Of Medical Social Workers

With the continuous development of social work, social work in the hospital as an extension,medical social work also entered start and budding stage. As a provider of medical social workers, whatis the role of, in practice they are how to take on this role, on their role expectation and the actual play,there is how the gap, the cause of the gap, and a medical social worker and how to deal with the gap.These will be the main problem discussed in this paper.Aiming at the existing problems of medicalsocial workers role of the study, researchers from the system of macroscopical point of view, the currentsituation, this article adopts qualitative research method, from microcosmic angle, through to5hospital7first-line medical social worker interviews, on the role of medical social workers distance, cosplay,role distance, causes and coping strategies and other problems, do a researching.social worker role expectation can be summarized as:1, in the field of public health, medical socialwork. Including public health advocacy, volunteer advocacy.2, the patient's household, medical socialwork. Including the integration of resources and psychological acts of advocacy.3, medical institutions,medical social work. This paper mainly discusses the field, in which the specific expectations of themedical social workers, it also includes:(1) job settings and career system;(2) on patients afterdischarge from hospitalization, treatment of psychological, economic, behavior of the whole service;(3)improve communication and cooperation between doctors and patients jointly with physicians todevelop treatment, rehabilitation programs;(4) the use of the social work profession, the case, the groupand the community together to conduct a joint service, with professional supervision and medicalsupervision;(5) organization of training, study tours, medical social work continuing education andtraining in the formation of the system;(6) relying on a project basis and results, expand the humanenvironment to create and influence of the hospital, but also enhance medical social work, socialacceptance.With the actual play of contrast, I found the role distance exist in:(1) the field of public health inmedical social work advocates the role absence;(2) to the patient family medical social work, resourceintegration role weakening;(3) hospital post setting and system of occupation system led to theprofessional role identification of low;(4) relying on the project form and achievement, the expansionof hospital humanistic environment and influence, but also enhance the medical social work socialrecognition;(5) and doctor jointly formulated treatment, rehabilitation programmes;(6) formation oftraining and continuing education mechanism.In this role, this article from the shallow and deep two aspects carries on the reason analysis.Shallow the main reason for the medical social worker in practice encountered difficulties, and the deepreason this article introduces Eventually, clearly put forward to change the distance between characters,the parties should make the strategy and direction.
