A Study Of Yan' An Spirit And Contemporary College Students'Ideological And Political Education

Yan'an spirit is formed from the combination of the fundamental principles of Marxism and the practice of Chinese revolution by the Chinese communist party in the revolutionary war. It is the theoretical achievement through the sinicization of Marxism, and an important component of the fine traditional culture of China. The history produces Yan'an spirit which provides infinite spiritual power to the development of Chinese revolution. Meanwhile, with its unique glamour, it will inevitably have profound influence on the development of the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics. This is mainly because even in today, the great communist ideal, the ideological line of emancipating the mind and seeking truth from facts, the style of self-reliance and arduous struggle, and the purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly which are contained in Yan'an spirit still have great practical value. It is inexhaustible spiritual source of socialist modernization, as well as the spiritual pillar for the future of China. This paper takes the relationship between Yan'an spirit and ideological and political education of contemporary college students as subject of this study. Through the methods of historic documents, the combination of history and reality, site survey and system analysis, this paper makes an in-depth analysis and research on how to realize the combination of Yan'an spirit and ideological and political education of contemporary college students, which enhances the effectiveness of college ideological work and promotes the students to establish scientific worldview, values and outlook on life.First of all, this paper systematically expounds the generation, scientific connotation and significance of Yan'an spirit. Yan'an spirit is formed under the guidance of Maxism, on the basis of the reality of Chinese revolution and excellent traditional culture. It contains the great communist ideal, the ideological line of emancipating the mind and seeking truth from facts, the style of self-reliance and arduous struggle, and the purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly. Yan'an spirit is an important component of socialist core value system. Moreover, it is also precious spiritual wealth and theoretical results created by our party during the great practice of Chinese revolution.Then, this paper discusses the objective point combining Yan'an spirit and the college students' ideological and political education. The author thinks that, patriotism is the basis point for the combination of Yan'an spirit and the college students' ideological and political education. On this basis, ideological education, moral education and legal education are the main content for this combination. While the education of communist ideal and the purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly is mainly for the advanced elements of the university. The hierarchical ideological and political education is designed to promote college students' humanistic spirit, strengthen their theoretical attainment, and improve their ideological and moral quality. It is the realistic choice for the combination of Yan'an spirit and the ideological education.Moreover, this paper illuminates the focus of contemporary college students' ideological and political education, and the leading role that Yan'an spirit plays in college ideological education. Regarding the generation after90college students as the research objects, the paper analyzes the characteristics of their thought and the basic orientation as for the combination of Yan'an spirit and the university students' ideological education. What's more, it discusses the specific role of Yan'an spirit in college students' ideological education, which illuminates that Yan' an spirit is of great help to improve the ability of contemporary college students to meet the challenge, to improve their humanistic consciousness and their ability to serve people and to adhere to the socialist orientation and communist ideals.Finally, the paper analyzes the problem of path choice about how to assimilate Yan'an spirit into college students' ideological and political education. In order to assimilate Yan'an spirit into college students' ideological and political education, we must follow some principles. These principles mainly include:adhere to the combination of political orientation and the extended content; adhere to the combination of social value and individual value; adhere to the combination of overall planning and key breakthrough, and adhere to the combination of inheritance and innovation of tradition. Under the guidance of these principles, this paper analyzes the path to assimilate Yan'an spirit into college students' ideological and political education. First, to excavate red culture resources of Yan'an area, and strengthen the cultivation of the contemporary college student's national spirit; Second, to make full use of the construction of campus culture, and build the university student's personality quality; Third, to rely on the site of the revolution for regular education; and to regulate the behavior of the contemporary college students through good educational atmosphere.
