With the advent of the era of globalization, learning English has being more important to people. Now, children English education becomes the attention focus in China, and the average age of the children becomes younger and younger. As a result, all kinds of teaching patterns arise. But, in traditional class, teachers always use inflexible teaching method, and children's positive emotions towards English are badly hindered. Aiming at this phenomenon, situational teaching has been arousing more and more English teachers and researchers'concern. It has achieved some effect, but the actual teaching is still unsatisfactory. On June,1997, the China-Canada Education Cooperation Project——Children English Immersion Education was launched in Xi'an. The Children English Immersion let children living in an absolute English language environment and has made great achievement, it has been proved to be a suitable pattern for Chinese children.As a postgraduate student, I am very lucky to have the chance to take part in public classes and academic discussions with the studying team. On this basis, I find that "Situational Teaching " has been used in Children English Immersion education from beginning to the end. In order to enriching the knowledge of situation teaching method in Children English Immersion Education, and giving teaching suggest for it, I has taken this subject under the guidance of my supervisor.This paper focus on the acquisition on Children English Immersion Education and situational teaching both at home and abroad, and adopt the qualitative research to analysis typical cases. Finally, it concludes basic strategies of creating effective Children English Immersion Education situation. The strategies include:role playing, using stories, making rational use of multimedia resources, teaching in daily life situations, teaching with games, using audio-visual aids, using emotional teaching methods and establishing question situation.On the analysis the cases of Children English Immersion situational teaching, we draw the conclusions:1. Situational teaching is an effective teaching strategy for Children English Immersion.2. Situational teaching of Children English Immersion enriches our traditional understanding about situational teaching.3. Teachers play an important role in situational teaching of Children English Immersion.4. Situational teaching of Children English Immersion combined several strategy together.In view of the research contents and the research conclusion, teaching suggestions are given as followings:1. Teachers should making adequate preparations before class.2. Situational teaching of Children English Immersion is a student-centered teaching mode.3. We should pay attention about the authenticity of the situation.4. The situation in class should be created to serve teaching.5. The situation be created in class should adapt to the characteristics of children's physicality and psychology.
