Character education is an important issue in contemporary education. Character is the core quality of a person. Not only is perfect character a key factor of a person's harmonious development, but also it is a necessary requirement that social development makes for qualified personnel. Personality is the integration of a person's total unique and stable psychological features of temperament, character, virtue, love, sentiment, faith, will, attitude, viewpoint, etc. faith, will, attitude, viewpoint, etc. At present, the status of the students' personalities is worrying, which is greatly related to the fact that pedagogues neglect the character education far the students. The Chinese language has predominance in character education, which other subjects can hardly reach. Its humanistic feature requires us to carry out character education, and the modernization of Chinese teaching demands character education, and the improvement of the ability of the Chinese language demands character education。First of all, the article puts forward the background of the problem's coming into being and research purposes, analyzes the current situation of character education and researches on character education in Chinese subject in China through documentary materials and gives definitions to "character","character education" and "character education in Chinese teaching" Then it recognized the character education in high school language education from relationships between high school language education and character education. Personality education is an important task in high school language education and the demand of social development. Because high school language subject has the humanities characteristic, personality education is suitable for the high school language education. At last the article came out with four ways of implementing character education. First, establishing new kind mode of Chinese teaching; second, formative assessment must be applied in Chinese teaching; third, Chinese teachers should exert the educational value of self-character; forth, stepping out of class and shaping the students' perfect character...
